Eric Slaymaker
Multi instrumentalist Eric Slaymaker has spent years playing with many different artists while also fronting many different bands and projects.
Eric grew up in Salt Lake City and spent his early years focused on sports, eventually playing on the University of San Francisco basketball team. During his time in the Bay Area, he was also playing with Northern California bands as both a guitarist and Bass player. Eventually heading back to the mountains of Utah, Eric formed and fronted a number of bands, including 100 CROWNS, KING’S IRISH, MORNING SEX SYMPHONY, and SLAYMAKER HILL, the latter forging a relationship with a small LA based record company. After recording a Slaymaker Hill album in 2008 in LA with producer Jim Wirt and RGC Records, the label eventually disbanded and the album never was released.
Slaymaker has long been a frequent special guest playing mandolins and Irish whistles with the internationally famous Irish Rock artist the Young Dubliners, and in addition is a special guest with the Celtic rock band Swagger.
Morning Sex Symphony was founded as a solo project of Eric's in 2022. Slaymaker recorded the first Morning Sex Symphony release in 2023 with “Come Out to Play”. With a style that utilizes acoustic guitars, octave mandolins, strings in a melodic, dynamic and lush rock sound, the music of Eric Slaymaker doesn’t suck…for the most part!
